A brand new and exceptionally special prize from one of our fave wineries in the world. A note from the winemakers, “every now and then there are barrels that are so outstanding you cannot blend them…”, boy howdy, are we glad they didn’t! Alex and Maria biodynamically farm six hectares of vines in Burgenland – FUN FACT! It is the easternmost and least populated state in Austria. One barrel of Blau comes from limestone soil and the other from schist. This wine was also aged an extra year before release, and made sure that the two barrels were in fact a perfect match before blending. Mushrooms, fresh tobacco leaves, sweet strawberry perfume, drop of vanilla paste, prune juice & an embrace in absolute silence. Open when the light is dim & your heart is open.
