Farmed high in Italy’s northeast, Matteo Furlani’s wines are peak easy-drinking bliss, thanks to their distinctly lower alcohol, a result of cool nights, high altitudes & lots of sunlight. His vineyards, handed down from his grandfather, have never seen chemicals and are farmed biodynamically – when you’re making zero-sulphur wines, there’s nowhere to hide so perfect fruit is of paramount importance. The grapes spend a single night on the skins and are gently pressed, wild fermented in tank and bottled unfined, unfiltered and with minimal sulphur. Ruby raspberry, pink grapefruit, triple-berry yogurt, a whiff of white pepper & a mineral glint round out this fresh-faced beauty. Pair with fresh scones with a big slather of jam and the blush of a new crush.
