A super fine, incredibly special Barbera from a Barbaresco legend. Olek Bondonio had a professional life as a snowboarder (cool) before returning to his family’s legendary plot of soil to make moving wines the world can’t get enough of. Barbera from 40-year-old vines in his Altavilla vineyard, high above the city of Alba. 14 days on the skins before a short time in large barrels to develop silky complexity that is frankly just the best. Delicate, nuanced and oh so complex with all the deep dark fruit, savoury graphite and s-m-o-o-t-h tannins.
