Mathilde and Florian Beck-Hartweg are gifted young winemakers practicing organic farming in a tiny, medieval-looking town. FUN FACT! Beck-Hartweg is one of the historic domaines of Alsace, tracing their lineage back to the early 16th century! From granite soils, the blend of 45-year-old mineral riesling, fruity pinot gris, earthen pinot noir, and aromatic gew were all direct pressed and rested for 18 months on lees in old oak casks to join forces. Herbaceous cheese rind kinda reduction, orange blossom and whole Valencia orange, green pepper, salted minerality, vanilla wafers sandwiching soft serve ice cream & tiny balancing bitters. Pour while gazing at your local flowering magnolias. Did you know magnolias are believed to be the earliest known flowering plants, and date back over 100 million years!!! They even existed before bees and so evolved to be pollinated by beetles! WOWZA!
