A mineral, aromatic, zero-zero and just about pure magic south of France white blend. JUST in from Grape Witch Imports, the highly sought-after wines of Bruno DuchĂȘne are now available in Ontario for the very first time! Previously a SUCCESSFUL mushroom grower, Bruno retired to the southern region of Banyuls-sur-Mer in his early 40âs, and began making wine in 2002 when he became bored of retired life. #OKAY With a gobsmacking view of the Mediterranean Sea, his 4.5, schist-y hectares of 15 to 70-year-old, terraced vines are tended by hand or mule with as little intervention as possible to produce this region-defining lineup. The 12-year-old, herbal and rich grenache blanc, stone-fruity, spiced grenache gris and citric, mineral vermentino were all grown on the same schist-packed plot, picked by hand, direct-pressed and aged for five months to grow from a crescent, to a full LUNA. Sun-soaked and finely balanced, with meyer lemon oil, pear jello shot cutting citrus tartness, mouth-filling minerality, white pepper, salt washed green melon & fresh cut summer flowers and herbs. Just WOW. Pour while the sun fades and the crickets rise alongside the moon.
