One of our favourite Austrian duos, Alex and Maria biodynamically farm six hectares of vines in Burgenland â the easternmost and least populated state in Austria! The 40-year-old pinot vines grow on their sandy Seefeld plot, situated in the west of Neusiedl am See, right beside the marshes of lake Neusiedl. FUN FACT! The plot is flat, hot, dry and ever-windy, encouraging intense aromas in the grapes! The grapes are carbonically macerated for six days before the bunches are foot stomped and then left with skins for up to 16 days longer before pressing. Bristly botanicals, sweeping citrus judiciously spiced, sour cherry surprise & slowly drooping fall roses turning to rosehips. Enjoy with of eight of your closest friends while drying off after an afternoon lake swim.
