Brand new to Ontario, a gift from Italy! Like a secret garden, overflowing with wild flora, fauna & dreams. American winemaker Joy Kull caught the grape bug while working as a sommelier in the U.S., and travelled to Italy to get her hands dirty. The dusty-berried Sangio (80%) & boisterous Merlot (20%) are grown in central Italy, on well-draining, volcanic soils for a mineral flare. Destemmed by hand & fermented (separately) on their skins for about 10 days – in order to see what the grapes do before blending. Drinking from a leather canteen, dark clay dust, high toned red candy meets low toned gravel & savoury earth. Drink while performing your daily sheep herding duties & reflecting on all the choices made that brought you HERE.
