A juicy, light n’ spiced hybrid tangle from Quebec darlings. Lieux Communs are a small, urban winery in Montreal that work with vineyards, orchards, and small farms across Quebec and Ontario, and personally follow the principles of regenerative agriculture while tending their own vines in Oka. Unrestrained and experimental, they are guided by their tastebuds, curiosity and inspiration, making use of flowers, teas, herbs, berries, honey and grape skins to craft their unique visions! ‘Ours’ is a blend of direct press of dark, spiced sabrevois, berried, medium bodied sainte-croix and peppery, leathery marquette, with carbonic tropical, floral vidal (white) and cherried, vanilla-y frontenac noir. A note from the winemakers: “Basically we taste everything in tank after primary fermentation and try to blend to arrive at the ideal of this cuvĂ©e: (in this case a) light spicy sort of jura style red.”, a rare process for them, as usually they are trying to showcase a specific plot or grape, not blend to create a vision! Grape juice-box, sour blackberry popsicle, whole pumpkin, woody spices, liquorice leaf, black soil & tree bark. The SAQ website recommends drinking alongside turkey legs with roasted grapes and shallots.
