LO! What light through yonder window breaks, it is the Oest, and carignan is the sun! An exciting collaboration between the spirited âAmor per la Terraâ team, Jaume JordĂ , Salvador Batlle and Xavi Rutia, with growers Salva Batlle & Germans Frisach. Grown organically on clay-limestone soils that help maintain bursting acidity, the blend of cured and spiced carignan (90%) and full, herbaceous garnacha blanca (10%) see two days of welding co-maceration. A zero-zero wine (aka no additions including sulphur as any point in production) that reminds us of tasting fresh winery barrels straight from a glass pipette (ALIVE and READY!). Sticky tacky texture, grape hubba-bubba breath, underripe blackberry, rock salt, sea grass, stippling textures & fermenting hot sauce vegetables. Serve chilled post Sunday afternoon grocery shopping.
