De Chaunac & Vidal, Montreal, Quebec
A lifted, red-white hybrid blend that reads like a Quebecois trousseau of sorts! New to the GWI family, Lieux Communs are a small, urban winery in Montreal that work with vineyards, orchards, and small farms across Quebec and Ontario. They are winemakers without restriction, tending their own regenerative vines in Oka, and making use of flowers, teas, herbs, berries, honey and grape skins to craft their unique visions. Carbonically co-macerated, old hybrid vines from Niagara, the tartly fruited de chaunac (red) and hardy, plush vidal (white) from Stoney Creek, Ontario are an inviting match. Red delicious apple, throat coating, cherry mash viscosity, cinnamon bark peel, sweet herbs & dry spices. Enjoy while researching which hybrid grapes would do best in your backyard!
