Taras Ochota liked to describe his wines as âall elbows and knees sticking outâ which perfectly describes this clown car stuffed with a whopping six different grapes â Grenache, GewĂŒrzt, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Syrah. The grapes were destemmed, cold-soaked and partially co-fermented, followed by a few months in tank before blending and bottling without fining or filtration. Like a rave in the woods, every grape brings something different to the party â dirty wildberry fruit, blackcurrant gummy, damson plum, red liquorice, book-pressed rose, white pepper, cigar box & a whiff of peat with long, supple tannins and a meaty underbelly.
