Macabeo, Grenache Blanc & Muscat Ă Petits Grains, Languedoc-Roussillon, FranceÂ
BEAMING, like an alignment of the five brightest planets in our solar system â Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn & Mars. Winemaker Francois Xavier (FX if you like), worked with Tom Lubbe at Domaine Matassa for five years and spent a further year with Domaine Danjou-Banessy learning all the low-intervention ropes before unleashing his own stellar wines upon our senses. A feverish blend of aroma-driven and fruit forward macabeu (40%) and mineral, herbaceous grenache blanc (40%) are macerated together whole cluster for seven days setting the tone, while the muscat Ă petits grains (20%) went through the same process only alone </3. After combining the three parts that make this whole, the wine was aged for three months in sandstone amphora, plus another five in tanks to define their relationship. An innocent galaxy contained in a bottle, gelatinous melon flavoured gummy bear, yellow, pollen-y flowers, salted pineapple salad, white tea, juniper, white currant ring pop & a grounding twiggy undercurrent. Enjoy while strutting in a yellow velour jogging suit & listening to your walkman.
