‘Rivera del Notro Bianco’

Moscatel, Corinto, SemillĂłn, Itata, Chile

A dense skin-contact like reading a good Byung-Chul Han. Beloved Southern Chilean winemaker Roberto Henriquez farms seven hectares in the Cordillera de Nahuelbuta mountain range. Considerable soil diversity between plots develops interesting and delectable subtleties in this historic region. De-stemmed, gently crushed and wild fermented with punch-downs before three months on skins in 80% stainless steel and 20% old barrels for freshness and texture. From the coastal area of the Itata valley, these 60-120 year old organic bush vines live on granitic soils and create a refreshing blend of (32%) wafting moscatel, (32%) textured corinto aka chasselas & (34%) thin-skinned semillĂłn. Classic muscat wild floral fireworks, peppery musk, tangerine zest, soft mezcal smoke, crystalline minerality & herby apricot slaw. Pour alongside aromatic dishes like fatty fish with yuzu ponzu.
