A real HIT from our Spring Try & Buy 2024, this rosé is crunchy, herbal & healthy-tasting, like biting into a perfectly seasoned stalk of celery. Andi Mann is a young winemaker in Eckelsheim, Germany, reworking traditional methods in the fields and cellars of his 10-hectare winery. Cultivating his vines holistically and using minimal intervention during winemaking, he produces cuvées that uniquely reflect their place of origin. FUN FACTS! Andi nurtures the wild orchids of the area, and allows local sheep to traipse through the vineyards to help loosen the soil! PLUS, his plots range from volcanic rock to limestone, and offer a diverse range of tasting experiences! This zero-zero, red-white blend includes berried merlot, floral müller-thurgau and forest-y spätburgunder, which were partly whole bunch fermented, partly direct pressed, then aged in large oak barrels for one year to join forces. Strawberry meets elderberry in both colour and TASTE, budding roses, sandy minerals, with woody herbal tea, celery root & dusty tannins.
