First founded in 1981, Valli Unite today is a tight-knit group of 35 people working 100 certified organic hectares in Costa Vescovato, Piemont. Made from 10-20 year old timorasso vines â a regional white grape known for its aromatic-forward, thick-skins (meaning higher tannin when macerated) and age-worthy presence â, the grapes are left for one day of skin contact to pull just enough grip to firmly shake our tongues. FUN FACT! From Roman origins, the name âDerthonaâ is used by all the producers in the Tortona hills for their wines made from timorasso grapes! Like your favourite dry riesling made a beautiful, bouncy baby with an oxidative Jura white.
