‘Rosatea’

A smoky, herbaceous and juicy Piemonte rosé available in Ontario for the first time! Valli Unite has been an organic co-operative in Piemonte since 1981, growing and producing EVERYTHING themselves, from wine, to honey, to salumi. Today, their winery is powered with solar energy and their vineyards and wines are minimally intervened with, all in the name of letting the land speak for itself. FUN FACT! The vines are still monitored for fungi and insect populations, and treated with non-harmful substances like orange extracts, copper and bee propolis (from their bees) when necessary! A 2023/2024 red-white blend of destemmed, co-fermented herbal, tree-fruity cortese (white), tart, earthy barbera (red), spiced, berried freisa (60%), plus bits n’ bobs including riesling, malvasia, brachetto and a smattering of other aromatic varieties (40%), that see a 24 hour maceration on the skins picking up aromatics, texture and concentration. A verdant muskiness, sour berries, lightly smoked sausage or salami, aromatic herbs, orange marmalade, that scratch and sniff book you had in the 90s, lemon candies uplifted by a touch of RS (residual sugar) & cherry juice shot. Enjoy alongside well-dressed corndogs and hotdogs, while leaning against a loose truck bumper.
