BarvĂĆka [bar-veezh-kah] is a tingly tongue twister unless youâre a Czech native, it means âcolour-enhancerâ or as we know it âteinturierâ in French â a natural mutation where a grape's skin AND JUICE is red in colour due to anthocyanin pigments accumulating within the pulp of the grape (theyâre so PURDY!). A red-white blend dominated by 50% dornfelder â a bold & juicy German-born hybrid with red innards, 33% tart rotburger, with a 17% blend of secret white grapes that heighten aromatics and bring home that JuiCY party. Maceration takes place all together with gentle punch-downs for extraction, then rests for just under a year with all its lees (aka tasty spend yeast) present to add addictive texture. Inky ruby-violet, red liquorice, wild blackberry, plum skins, breakfast radishes, clay pit, salt nâ pepper & pilsner-esque hoppy accents. Serve chilled with veggie lasagna!
