A knock-out star bottle, this floral and fantastical red is like the Spring Sprite from Disney's Fantasia. Olek Bondonio has gone from high-ranking snowboarder in his youth, to one of the brightest stars in Barbaresco, perfectly at home on the steep slopes that surround the family’s 200+ year old cantina. The nebbiolo from this bottling come from younger vines in one of the appellation’s best crus, Starderi. Young stars captured in their adolescents and ready to show you what all the Barbaresco fuss is about. The wine ferments for over a month on skins, giving us something to really sink our teeth into. Trampled roses, garden gloves after planting your spring bulbs, sweet cherry danish, tar, black tea bubblegum, bitter herbs & a structure as dense as an olive oil cake. Enjoy with chicken or eggplant parm, topped with the proper amount of cheese (1-2 handfuls).
